Spouse:  Margaret, married 1968
Met at:  We met as a blind date at Clarkson  / Potsdam State.  We met during my Junior year / her Freshman year.  We dated for 3 years ( some long distance) and got married in 1968.  Marg finished her Bachelor’s degree (without the internet) and student teaching (long distance) and graduated from Potsdam.
Kids:  We have three kids.  Two boys and one girl.  The boys are both graduate Electrical Engineers from University of Illinois.  Our daughter graduated with a teachers degree form Beloit College in Beloit Wisconsin.  We have three grandchildren , all girls.  They are 12, 10, and 4 years old. 
Both boys work as engineers at the same company I worked at in Rockford (Sundstrand for me, Sundstrand/ Hamilton Sundstrand (part of United Technologies)/  now Collins Aerospace and soon to be Raytheon Aerospace
Our daughter has a masters degree in education and has taught for 21 years at a Chicago Public School.
Animal:  We have no pets at present.  We had a cat for 12 years .

College Major: Electrical Engineering minor in Computers.   I completed the General Electric  “A“ course (A compression of the 4 years of engineering in two half year sessions) and a Masters in Engineering Science from Pennsylvania State University,
Career:  I have worked 41.5 years in aerospace (33.5 years at Sundstrand and 8 years at General Electric) and 1.5 years in commercial product engineering at General Electric.
At General Electric I designed 400 Hz AC generators (  C-5, B52, DC-10), Dc  Starter Generators (Falcon 20), Permanent Magnet generators, aircraft engine speed sensors (CFM56) for aerospace applications and a project for Knolls Atomic Labs. 
At Sundstrand I helped develop their skills and manufacturing abilities to produce 12000 and 24000 rpm 400 Hz aircraft generators.  I designed and supported marketing, developed, and qualified generators for aircraft from the Canadair CL600, the AirBus A300 and A310, 757, 767, to the C-17.  Engineering manager for the F50, F100, JAS39 and Embraer 170.  Project manager for  737 hydrarulic pump motor. I was engineering manager for the controls for the  F-18, V-22, MD-80 and MD-11 aircraft.  I was a project manager for the J-39, Hawkeye E2D, F35 ( JSF) generating system and the for 787 Primary and Secondary Distribution panels.

Spend Time:  Yes.  I spend the winter months (Oct-April) coaching middle school and High School students prepare for Science Olympic competition.  I finished my son’s basement. I serve on various financial and administrative committees at church. I spend many summer months completing household projects  and we have enjoyed many road trips in our convertible
Most interesting job:  Managing the generating system for the Northrup Grumman Hawkeye E2D Airborne early warning and control carrier based aircraft . We replaced a 60 KVA generator with a 120 KVA generator for the same size and weight

Where lived: We have lived in Schenectady, NY, Utica, NY, Delmar, NY, Erie, Pennslyvania, Rockford, Illinois.
Interesting place visited:  Carcassonne, France.  This is a walled city dating back to medieval times.  It is believed to have been built on the ashes of three prior medieval towns.
Greatest accomplishment since graduation :  Being married for 51 years and raising three wonderful children .
Favorite hobby:  Messing with electronics, computers (I have built three), photography, working with the Science Olympics kids
