Met at:  Met at the beach at Jupiter, Florida Memorial Day  1971   Didi and I were diving buddies, dive instructors, and cave divers. We  explored the Bahama Blue Holes in the early 1970s. She became a Nurse Practitioner. She loves quilting.
Kids:  Our daughter, Natalie, does video production for Blue Chalk. She lives in Portland Oregon
Animal:  We have a female beagle named Bella.

College Major: Industrial Distribution
Career:  Undersea Research, Grant and contract work for NOAA

Spend Time:  Didi, Bella and I enjoy traveling in our teardrop camper.
Most interesting job:  Habitat Technician for the Aquarius Undersea Research Laboratory. Lived underwater for two weeks on four missions. ROV (remotely operated vehicle) Pilot and AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) operator.
Where lived: Syracuse, NY, Lake George, NY, Riviera Beach, FL, Jamaica, St. Croix, USVI, Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas, Salt Lake City, UT, St. Croix (again), Wilmington, NC, and Waynesville, NC
Interesting place visited:  Cold seeps on the seafloor in the Gulf of Mexico at a depth of 2,275”.  It was like visiting a moon of Jupiter.

Greatest accomplishment since graduation :  Personal: Being a good husband and father. Professional: Inventing a new type of technical diving – “Counter-diffusion Diving,” which reduced decompression in the deep nitrox range by 30-40%.
One thing you wish you knew:  What I would become.
Favorite college memory:  In August 1968, I overnighted at Triangle with a dozen kids (Pioneers, ages 13-15) from a YMCA camp on our way to a whitewater river trip in Canada. Three pledges tried to kidnap me and take me for a ride (see photos below). The campers (Pioneers) returned from a movie at the Roxy to find me struggling with three pledges. The campers jumped in and we ended up taking the three pledges on a ride. The campers were inner city kids from NJ and several decided that maybe they would look into going to college

Favorite things to do now:  Travel with my wife and dog, ride my bike, reading, and writing.
