Met at:  We met on a blind date set up by brother Roger Henning.  She is a member of Zeta Gamma Sigma.  She graduated from SUNY Potsdam in 1970 with a
degree in Secondary Education.  She has worked as teacher but retired from the Federal Government as a personnel specialist about five years ago
Kids:  One son – John he is 49 and works as a Software Engineer in Melbourne, FL.
Three grandkids - Brittany, Kai and Charles.  Two great grandkids – Donald and Anastasia.

Accomplishments: Still married to the same woman after 49 years and counting.
Animal:  No pets

College Major: Electrical Engineering - Computers
Career:  Varied from Electronics Technician to Logistics Engineering.  Active duty Navy from 1970 to 1982 as an Electronics Technician, joined reserves and retired in 1998.  Worked as a civilian for the Naval Observatory from 1982 to 1987 and then for the Naval Sea Systems Command as General Engineer until 2011.  At NAVSEA I was involved in maintenance engineering with two programs, one in configuration status accounting and the other with reliability-centered maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Spend Time:  Reading, watching anime, working on genealogy, taking Great Courses and some MOOCs (Massively Open On-line Courses), going on cruises with my cousins

Most interesting job:  While with the Naval Observatory, I designed and built circuits to aid in their astrometry mission
Where lived: With the Navy I was at Great Lakes IL, Exmouth Western Australia, Sugar Grove WV, San Diego CA, NAS Guam, and NAS Bermuda.  After the Navy, we moved to Burke VA and have been here for 36 years.

Interesting place visited:  Barcelona Spain – a very beautiful city with a lot to see and do.
Favorite hobby:  Genealogy, cosmology and the origin of the universe, listening to music.

News that stands out:  Moon landing, breakup of the Beatles and the assassinations in 1968.
Friends anxious to see:  I’d just like to see all the brothers that I went school with.
